Who We Are
In 2018, after becoming a single father, Marc Kittay founded Heartlight Extracts to support his 2 year-old girl, Nimue. Together they prayed and found a passion for helping others that has created an environment they can believe in. Led by his daughter’s wishes for her father to cease working jobs that separated them, Nimue has pioneered the vibration of hiring family-oriented, hard working members of the local Hawaiian community. Together they have created a company that not only enhances their family, but produces carefully formulated products to support the ethics and cohesiveness of its patrons and their families. We are a family owned and operated business in Pahoa, Hawaii.
What We Do
We are extraction artists at our core. We create solvent-less kava rosin extracts, and water based alternative resins that are then infused into vegan gummies for convenience, consistency, and greater efficacy. Our rosin is hand crafted in small batches by founder Marc Kittay in processes that are labor intensive and a work of love. Each infused product is derived from certified organic sources when possible and each ingredient is meant to support the health and enjoyment of all.

We at Heartlight Extracts recognize the world's need for relief from invasive lifestyles and their need for access to more effective therapies. We know the answers are provided from vegan products derived from the plant kingdom that are responsibly sourced and thoughtfully produced.

What is Waka Kava?
Kava is a plant rooted in ancient Hawaiian tradition, used in ceremonies for relaxation and to reduce pain and inflammation. Kava Rosin is an extract made by a solventless process at our Lab in Hawaii. Our processes preserve all of the goodness from properly prepared, recently harvested lateral growing (waka) kava root. The waka roots are the best source of kavalactones and are the healthiest to ingest. Our process allows for a higher kavaine content than anything else available on the market. It's a much more labor intensive process, but gives rise to a much higher quality product.
